About Te Au Moana

Te Au Moana, which translates to “the ocean tide,” has always been a constant throughout Oceania, connecting our islands, peoples, and generations.

Our Polynesian ancestors traversed these ocean tides for centuries and revered them for their life-sustaining properties. Their stories – which spoke of their expert skills in fishing, gathering, and voyaging – demonstrated the tremendous depths of knowledge and respect they had for the Earth and its elements.

As Hawaii’s premier entertainment company, Tihati Productions endeavors to bring these stories to life at our incredible lūʻau, Te Au Moana: The Ocean Tide. The setting is stunning- overlooking the ocean. There’s fun activities to do before dinner. The food was plentiful and tasty. The cultural information, music and performance were top notch. For a performance and dinner- the price is so worth it!

A Must-Do in Maui

From the moment you walk up the path to the beautiful ocean view, to the friendly greetings, the food, and the service.. everything was five stars! The show was just as amazing as everything else we experienced. I’d definitely recommend this!

Great Experience

Wonderful time. Plenty of food and drink (consider not drinking the fruity heavy drinks prior to dinner-we were stuffed!!). Quality of food was great and the service equally so. Nice place for a traditional Hawaiian experience.

Beautiful Evening

I was here with my family. It was a lovely experience. The dancers were fantastic. Highly recommend this as a way to kick off your stay. It was n the ocean and the sunset was beautiful.
